Privacy Policy

Who we are

Bamboo Capital, LP is a private single-family office based in Houston, Texas. We manage the personal assets of our principal and his immediate family. We do not provide investment advisory services to the public, we do not manage outside money, and we are not a registered investment adviser, broker-dealer, or fintech provider. Single-family offices are exempt from Investment Advisers Act registration under the Family Office Rule (17 CFR § 275.202(a)(11)(G)-1).

This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and what we do with it. It applies to bamboo.me and to any data we receive from third-party services used internally by the family office.

What information we collect

We collect two categories of information:

Financial account data we ask you to share with us

When the principal of Bamboo Capital uses an aggregation service such as Plaid to connect a brokerage or bank account to our internal dashboard, that service shares the following with us: account names, account types, cash and securities balances, current holdings and cost basis, and transaction history. The principal authorizes each connection one account at a time. Account login credentials are never visible to Bamboo Capital — the aggregation service handles authentication directly with the financial institution.

Basic website information

If you visit bamboo.me, our website host records standard server-side information including IP address, browser type, and pages visited. We do not run advertising trackers, third-party analytics, or behavioral profiling on bamboo.me.

We do not collect Social Security numbers, government IDs, biometric data, or sensitive personal information through this website.

Why we collect it

Website information is used only to keep bamboo.me functioning and secure.

Who has access

Access to financial account data is limited to two internal users: the principal of Bamboo Capital and one bookkeeper. No other person inside or outside the family office sees this data in the ordinary course.

Service providers

We use the following third-party services to operate the family office. These providers process data on our behalf under written terms or industry-standard agreements, and they do not use family-office data for their own purposes.

We do not sell, rent, or share personal or financial data with advertisers, data brokers, or other third parties.

How long we keep it

Financial account data refreshed through Plaid is retained as long as the corresponding account remains linked. When an account is unlinked, the corresponding access token is revoked and the historical snapshot data is deleted within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for tax, accounting, or legal purposes (in which case retention follows the applicable rule and is typically seven years).

How to delete data or revoke access

If you are the principal of Bamboo Capital and want to revoke a Plaid connection, you can do so at any time by emailing assist@bamboo.me. We will revoke the corresponding Plaid access token, delete the cached snapshot, and confirm completion within seven business days.

Security

We describe our security practices on the Security page. In summary: data is encrypted in transit; access is limited to named internal users with multi-factor authentication; endpoints are encrypted; vendor relationships are reviewed annually.

Children's privacy

This site is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
